Postdoctoral
The Goldberg Lab is looking for talented and motivated individuals to pursue post-doctoral fellowship training in the use of electrophysiology, two-photon calcium imaging, and optogenetics for the study of normal and epileptic cerebral cortical circuits in vitro and/or in vitro. The desired candidate should be a recent graduate with a PhD and/or MD in neuroscience or in an applied field. Prior experience with brain slice or in vivo physiology, dynamic imaging, computer programming, electrical or biomedical engineering, image/data analysis, or other applied or related techniques, is strongly preferred.
Graduate students
Do a rotation with us! The Goldberg Lab accepts rotating UPenn graduate students from the Neuroscience Graduate Group, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, or related fields.
Technical/device fabrication
Interships and part- or full-time positions are available for individuals with an engineering background to develop and implement strategies to monitor and manipulate brain activity in experimental systems.
Computer programming
Interships and part- or full-time positions are available for a skilled computer programmer to work on development and implementation of tools for data analysis.
